Lots of Family Time
September through November, 2025
Not much going on this time of year, we stayed home and did not go traveling around. So not like us right? You mean we are not hunting in some foreign country or ballooning over some random town? Nope, just spending lots of time enjoying family!
Little Jocelynn is growing up so fast and she is learning simple motor skills and finding her voice. Jocelynn also started at daycare, and she seems to be loving the floor time with her drooling classmates. She is almost growing a bit too fast. Before we knew it she was filling out all of her clothes and not fitting in her diapers. At her 4 month appointment she weighed 15lbs 13oz.
She had her first Halloween and Thanksgiving which obviously came with the cutest photos.
Grant's few months at a glace:
Started up a Plex server at the beginning of the year to try and move all my Movies, TV Shows, and Music to be able to be streamed from anywhere using a Phone or TV. Even hooked up an antenna to it so we can watch live TV from anywhere. These past few months, we finally finished it and it works with little to no issues.
Deer season was not the best at all this year. The first 2 weekends were either too warm or very windy. The third weekend, Grant managed to get a deer and we plan to make lots of deer jerky with it.
Socket was purchased by an investment company. This doubled Grant's work load which was not fun and caused a lot of headaches. The only good that came out of this was Grant now gets a bonus every year and we no longer have to pay for internet services. Grant also now gets Christmas Eve as a paid holiday off work and 2 floating holidays of his choice.
Whitney's few months at a glance:
Whitney spent the remaining of her 12 week leave with the baby finishing up her Masters Degree. She was taking care of a baby, doing a masters degree, and dealing with Grant's random craziness. That takes amazing skill and patience. She is a true gift from God for this family and she can do it all while being so amazing and beautiful!
She finished her MBA with a 4.0 GPA and walks across the stage on December 12th. She is now on the hunt for a new job. We hope for it to be in Kirksville or remote so we can eventually move up north and out of Columbia.
All of CPD Decided to Show Up
September, 2025
This was a new one. We have recently seen some cops hanging around in the area because some neighbors were causing issues. Well, today was the day they were waiting for. There were some fights happening and and a gun was shown (NOT FIRED), just shown. This was enough for the police to show up. A few people were handcuffed and put in some of the cruisers, but everything eventually calmed down. There were about 15+ police cars out front. The picture could not capture all of them.
More Ballooning and a New Car
August and into September, 2025
This entire month went by way too fast! It was a month filled full of baby snuggles and ballooning! We flew in Brookfield, MO and Creston, IA.
Grant's Nissan Altima decided it wanted to cost as much as a new one in repairs, so we traded it in for a 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T. This was not something we wanted to do as this is now a lot of money we are dropping suddenly, but now we have a family size car that has AWD.

MIZ! ZOU!
November 9th, 2024
The Mizzou football season has been tough, somehow staying ranked through all of it, and after some injuries to our key players. Today, we got tickets to watch the game MU vs. OU. we spent a few hours tailgating at the Socket Telecom Tailgate, having some drinks, and seeing some friends. It was a super close game that had me on my feet the entire time.
We went to Africa!!!

Grant, Whitney, Chris, Greg, and Micheal took to the skys in the Lake Red Rock Balloonfest in Pella, IA. We managed to fly a few times even though it was way too windy this weekend. Greg and Grant got to fly in the Sky
STL ZOO and Grant's Farm
July 5-6th, 2024
We spent a nice weekend in St. Louis enjoying the weather and seeing some animals!
April 11-14th, 2024
We spent the second part of our honeymoon in Destin, FL. We had a 13th floor condo on the beach at the SunDestin Resort. This was also Whitney's first time ever touching the ocean. We had lots of fun in the sand, playing in the ocean, and just relaxing attempting a tan. Grant got to enjoy all of the seafood he could put down, and Whitney was a good sport and got to try it too. We brough Hawaiian shirts with each other's faces on them and we wore them on the local boardwalk. We had about 30 people stop to tell us how much they loved our shirts.
April 8-9th, 2024
Spent 2 days at a Super 8 in Paragould, AR. There was a complete solar eclipse, and we had some beach chairs so we could get a good look up at the moon! There were a few guys next to us that had some really nice equipment to see the moon with and they gave us the cool high-res photo. You can see the solar flares on the left side and the bottom. Grant managed to also get a video of it on his phone, it is not really the best quality, but it is something!
